New swimmers are accepted at the
beginning of the Spring season and the Fall season, or by special
arrangement for those moving into the area mid-season.
The selection process involves the swimmer demonstrating
proficiency in all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke,
breaststroke, freestyle). This is not a learn to swim program,
please realize your swimmer will be swimming multiple lengths of
the pool.
Fees
There is a registration fee due at the start of each season, a USA
Swimming registration fee annually and a charge for meet entry
fees for participation.
Eligibility
Per the Club
By-laws, the swimmer must be eligible to attend a District 220
School.
Volunteer
Requirements
BSC swim meets are essentially run by parent volunteers. In
addition to the registration fees, parents are required to
contribute their time to help at swim meets (i.e. timing). Full
details of the family expectations are explained in the
BSC Policies and Procedures.
Code of Conduct
The Barrington Swim Club Code of Conduct applies to
swimmers and parents. All club members must read and sign the code
of conduct contract , all contracts are kept on file. The
BSC Policies and Procedures explain the code in full
detail.
