Day 2 Recap--BSC Cracks the Top 10 Crowns Another Champ

Day 2 at the Illinois Age Group Champs was another banner day for BSC Swimmers as both individuals and as a Team. Barrington Swimmers continue to swim very well with 90% Best Times several new Zone Times, Sectional Times, 2 New Team Record and 1 National Top 16 Time.

BSC moved into the Top 10 with 325 points just 8 points ahead of ISI powerhouse New Trier and a mere 23 points out of 7th place and Redbird Swim Team. The 10 & Under Girls 200Medley Relay of Cathering Kitzman, Ally Penrod, Isabella Parenti and Bridget O'Leary captured 7th Place, the 13-14 Girls 800Free Relay dropped 25 seconds off their seed time to place in the Top 8.  In the Girls 10& Under 200Free Isabella Parenti tied for 3rd while Bridget O'Leary and Ally Penrod came in 15th and 16th repectively. Jack Hoppe continued his strong showing at the meet with a 13th Plce in the 200Free on the Boys side. In the 11-12 Boys 50Breast Max Gersten won the B-Final with a 37.00 Will Hobbs follwed that up in the Championship Final with a 7th place swim.  in the 13-14 Boys 100Breast Chase Lesniak swam to a Best Time 10th Place. Maggie Emary swam to a 12th place finish dropping 9 second drop in the 11-12 Girls 200Free. Not to be outdone Andrew Fish came back with a 14th Place Best time on in the 11-12 Boys Event.  In the 13-14 400Free Emma Barnett swam to a 9 second Best Time and a 14th place finish. Colin O'Leary swam to a New Team Record 1:09.09 and second place finish. BSC doubled up in the 13-14 Girls B-Final of the 200Back with Kelsey Holmes dropping 9 seconds and placing 14th, Teammate Emma Barnett continued her great meet with a 13th place finish in the same event.  In the final individual event of the evening Andrew Fish and Colin O'Leary teamed up for a 3rd and 1st place finish in the 11-12 Boys 200Fly. Colin's 2:27.28 marks the Second Individual Champion of the meet as well as another team record and National Top 16 Ranking.
