Day 3 Recap BSC Swims to Another Title and 8th Place

BSC kept up the trend of tough swimming on Saturday at the IL Age Group Champs by remaining in the top 10 with 520 Points. Ally Penrod and the 11-12 Boys 4x100 Free relay were just two of the many highlights. Ally Penrod won her second title of the weeknd posting a team record 1:26.23 in the 100Breast, she also added a 2nd place in the 50free. Ally was 100% Best Times for the weekend  The Relay of Colin O'Leary, Andrew Fish, Will Hobbs, and Max Gersten swam to a very strong 2nd place with a nice time of 4:16.20.  Jack Hoppe continued his 100% Best Time weekend with a 14th Place in the 100Fly and 13th in the 50Free--Jack placed Top 16 in 6 of 7 events. Bridget O'Leary showed some promise for continuing the 10& Under tradition next year with 100% Best Times and a 16th in the 50Free. Isabella Parenti showed off the hard work BSC has done this summer with a Team Record 3rd place in the 400Free. Max Gersten added to his medal count with a Team Record 6th in the 200Breast. Kirsten Jacobsen continued to show well in the middle distance freestyles with a great B final win in the 200Free. In the 50Fly Colin O'Lear and Andrew Fish traded off the Team Record  with Colin finishing 5th and Andrew 6th. The 4x100 Free Relay of Jacobsen, Kael Ragnini, Emma Barnett, and Kelsey Holmes improved nearly 10 spots to finish 8th.  BSC is still at teh 96% Best Time level with only 3 non-best times the entire meet!

BSC is looking forward to a big finish on Sunday and wrapping up a Top 10 FInish with two relays and numerous scoring opportinites. Barrington Swimmers will show their METTLE on SUNDAY!!
