Fillies Claim 2 More Wins

The BHS Girl's Swim Team claimed two victories this week. The first on Tuesday night versus Prospect in a conference dual and the second agains Evanston in a non-conference contest on Saturday.  Against the Lady Wildkits the Fillies claimed victories in all 11 events on their way to a 123-60 win! The 200Medley Relay of Kelsey Holmes, Mekenna Scheitlin, Justine Kaszynski, and Kelly Mekert started the meet of with a 4 second win. Zaszynski follwed up with a win in the 200Free, Emma Barnett was 2nd and Kael Ragnini was 4th. In the 200IM Sophomore Mekenna Scheitlin swam to a win in 2:14.90 followed by Kayla Widdowson in 2nd and Catie Olson in 6th.  Erika Elliott claimed the top spot in the 50Free with a 24.28, Kelly Meckery was 4th and Caroline Burns was 5th.  The 100Fly was decided with a 1:01.03 from Danielle Elliott, Justine Kaszynski was 2nd and Gabby Claborne was 6th.  Erika Elliott claimed her second individual win in the 100Free with a 53.04, Kelsey Holmes swam to a 3rd place and Kelly Meckert was 5th.  The Fillies kept the win streak alive with a 5:11.32 from Danielle Elliott, her 2nd individual win, Kael Ragnini was 4th and Ellie Menso was 5th. The 200Free Relay of Mekenna Scheitlin, Kelly Meckert, Danielle Elliott, and Erika Elliott teamed up for the 8th win of the meet in 1:42.28.  Freshman Emma Barnett claimed the win in the 100Back with a 1:03.65, Sam Gavars claimed the bronze in 1:07.62.  Mekenna Scheitlin claimed her second individual win in the 100Breast with a 1:08.42--only .02 of the IHSA Championship Cut! Kayla Widdowson swam to a 3rd place while Catie Olson touched 5th. In the final event of the afternoon the 400Medley Relay of Erika Elliott, Kelsey Holmes, Emma Barnett and Danielle Elliott swam to a 3:44.21 and the win. The BHS Fillies are no 3-0 on the season.

The Junior Varsity had a hard fought meet right down to the final relay falling to the Wildkits 92-91 their record is now 2-1. On the Frosh/Soph Level the Fillies posted a 115-65 win and improved to 3-0 on the season. BSC Teammates Evelyn Ciskowski, Rebecca Jakopin, and Emmy Vargo were all key in the victory.

The Fillies tankers will travel to Hoffman Estates on Wednesday for their next contest then they will host St. Charles North on Saturday--Good Luck Ladies Keep Up the Good Work
