Focus for 100% Performance At the End of the Season

Here are some general Tips to make sure BSC is 100% Ready to Perform at our Championship Meets.

  1. Rest—As practice becomes less intense and less volume keep in mind this is to allow the body to adapt to the work load and produce better performance. Going out for “extra” activity like a 2 mile run, 2hours at the water park, staying up extra late will only hurt this adaptation process and hurt performance.

  2. Practice—Stay focused on where you want to be at your Championship Meet. See yourself doing well at the meet during pacework, starts, turns and finishes. Pay extra attention to maintaining your technique. Time for making changes is over lets make what we have built work at its maximum capacity. Attendance is also very important 100% is expected. The “my grandma's, aunt's, great grandfather swam in World War II and he told me to take off a few practices to rest” is not going to lead to a good individual or team performance—Let the Coaches Coach.

  3. Excitement—BE EXCITED!! this is a great time to be a BSC Swimmer and showcase what you have been up to since April!! Let that show through in everything you do and have fun doing it.
