BSC Swims to 6th Place after Day 1 at Age Group Champs

Barrington Swim Club Teammates had a great opening day at the 2012 Long Course Age Group Championships at the Rec Plex in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin. The scoring started with a Silver Medal Finish by the 10 and Under Girls 200Free Relay of Julie Vega, Tea Ragnini, Emma Pritchett and Bridget O'Leary and Setting a New Team Record!

The 10 and Under Boys 200Free Relay followed up with a 4 Point swim by Dan Langlois, Griffin O'Leary, Dan Emary, and Liam Rorison. The 10 and Unders continued in the 200IM and 100Free with Bridget O'Leary scoring a Silver Medals and New Team Records in both Events.

The 11-12 and 13-14 year olds would not be outdone. Kirsten Jacobsen scored a Silver Medal in the 100Free in Record Time! Maggie Emary won the Consolation Final in a Best Time. In the 200Fly Andrew Fish swam a 4second Best Time to capture 15th Place. In the 100Back Colin O'Leary swam to a victory in the Consolation Final with a Best Time! In the 100Breast Ally Penrod swam to a 17th Place Score and a Best Time. Will Hobbs swam to a Best Time 18th Place and Colin Cross swam to a 5th Place Finish in a GREAT AGGRESSIVE RACE! In the 400Free Izzie Parenti swam a Best Time 15th Place and Maggie Emary swam to a Bronze Medal and a Team Record!

The 13-14 Boys 4x200Free Relay of Colin O'Leary, Andrew Fish, Riley Lehmann, and Colin Cross swam to an Exciting 5th Place and a New Team Record!

Other Best Times for the day were: Emma Pritchett 100Free, Tea Ragnini 100Free, Will Christy 50Breast, Julie Vega 50Breast, Emma Graves 100Free, 400Free, Andy Zhou 100Back, Riley Lehmann 100Back, Jack Hoppe 400Free.
