BSC Swimmers Net More Gold on Day 3 of Age Group Championships
Barrington Swim Club Swimmers surged ahead on the 3rd day of competition of the Illinois Age Group Championships. As a Team BSC still stands in sixth place with one day remaining!
During the 10 and Under Session Dan Emary led off with a Best Time and a 9th Place. In the 50 back Emma Pritchett swam to a 19th Place and a Best Time. In the same event Bridget O'leary claimed her Second Gold Medal of the meet and a New Team Record. In the 400Free Bridget O'Leary claimed her 3rd Gold Medal and Set a New Team and STATE Record!! Great Job 10 and Unders!!
In the 11-12/ 13-14 Session Ally Penrod started things up with a 18th Place Finish and a New Team Record. In the 200Free Kirsten Jacobsen raced to a Silver Medal and a New Team Record. Colin O'Leary clamed a Best Time 18th Place. Emma Graves stepped on the Podium for the first time in the 50Fly with a 10th Place Best Time performance. Kirsten Jacobsen swam to a 12th place Best Time.Also in the 100Fly Colin O'Leary and Andrew Fish doubled up with a 14th and 15th Place. In the 400IM Becca Elrod swam to a Best Time and broke a 28 Year Old Team Record! On the Boys' side Colin Cross improved by 11 seconds to claim 9th Place. The 11-12 Girls 4x100Relay of Maggie Emary, Izzie Parenti, Emma Graves and Ally Penrod swam 14seconds under their seed time for a Fourth Place and New Team Record. The Relay of Sarah Langlois, Maddie McFarland, Gracie Roper, and Willa Wu all swam Best Time and 2 seconds under thier seed time. The 13-14 Girls Relay of Kirsten Jacobsen, Becca Elrod, Andrea Vega, and Katie Schneider placed 11th. The 13-14 Boys 4x100 B Relay of Riley Lehmann, JJ Kleinjan, Max Gersten, and Brandon Schaff all swam best times. The A Relay of Colin Cross, Will Hobbs, Colin O'Leary, and Andrew Fish swam to a 9second Best and 6th Place and Broke a 15 Year Old Team Record!
