BSC Proves Their Mettle on Final Day of Age Group Champs
Great Teams Get Better As the Meet Goes On!
On the Final Day of Age Group Championships Barrington Swim Club Raced to an Amazing 6th Place Finish Crowning another Championship Relay!
The Day started off with Maggie Emary grabbing a 5th Place in the 11-12 200Back and a New Team Record. Colin Cross followed up in the 13-14 200IM with a Best Time win in the Consolation Final. In the 11-12 Girls 100Fly Emma Graves and Izzie Parenti both improved their Prelim Best Times to grab 12th and 13th Place respectively. Kirsten Jacobsen swam a Best Time and Team Record in the 13-14 50Free while placing 6th.Will Hobbs won the Consolation Final with a Best Time. In the 1500Free Kirsten Jacobsen placed 4th splittling a New Team Record in the 800Free by 3seconds.Becca Elrod Joined the scoring by placing 11th and bettering her time by almost a minute. The 13-14 Boys placed 3 swimmers in the Top 20 with Colin Cross with a Best Time 19th Place, Riley Lehmann with a 13th Place Best Time, and Colin O'Leary claiming the 9th Place podium. The Boys 13-14 B Medley Relay bested their seed time with Andy Zhou, Max Gersten, Riley Lehmann, and Brandon Schaff.
In the Final Events of the Meet the 4x100Relay BSC Showed how tough and seasoned they are becoming as a TEAM!
The 11-12 Girls 4x100 Medley Relay of Maggie Emary, Ally Penrod, Emma Graves and Izzie Parenti swam to a dramatic Bronze Medal Performance out of Lane 1 Crushing the team record by 14 seconds!!
The 13-14 Boys 4x100 Medley Relay capped off the Meet in dramatic Come from Behind fashion with the team of Colin O'Leary, Colin Cross, Andrew Fish and Will Hobbs all swimming faster than their Best Times and WINNING THE EVENT!! The Quartet Bested the Team Record by 14 Seconds!
