Here are a Few Things We did Well:
-
Racing the Back Half—It is really fun to watch BSC swimmers charge through the field of a race on the back half. This shoes confidence in racing ability and fitness. This was the perfect time of the season to just get up and RACE! It was great to see the team race each other just as hard as they raced folks from other teams. Great Job!
-
Race Awareness—BSC Teammates did a much better job of know what they did during their races: the good, the bad, and the ugly. When Teammates begin do this it can really help them focus on what they need to do better in training too!
Here are a Few Things We need to Work On:
-
Be Aggressive—With so many swims that were amazing on the back half, BSC teammates should have had the confidence to race the front half a bit more aggressively. As we approach the last couple of meets, especially the Championship meets it is imperative that we race hard on the front half as well as the back half.
-
Attitude is Everything—BSC teammates were very lethargic at the meet. It is really important that you look forward to every race as an opportunity to get better, an opportunity to test new racing techniques and tactics we have worked on in practice. Be Excited to Race!
