Here are a couple things we did well.
-
Underwaters and Turns---The team has spent some very focused time on developing our turn and underwaters. It was awesome to start seeing some progress. Keep up the good work! Tight Streamlines, Drive the Legs, Accelerate on the Breakouts.
-
Execution of Tactics that were learned in Practice---A couple of coaches from other teams at the meet complimented BSC swimmers on how disciplined they were with racing skills and ability to execute a racing plan. This is one mark of a Great Team is the ability for teammates of all abilities and all ages to possess this skill. Great Job!
Here are a couple of things we need to work on.
-
Focus on the Process of Improvement—there were way too many times I heard Teammates talking more about their place in an event than their time. The focus should mainly be on the time improvement. What is my goal? What can I do better in Training to meet my goal?
-
Be Realistic about Things—Some Teammates need to be more realistic about what they deserve as far as best times go at a meet. Take into consideration your: Attendance, Attitude, and Effort---not just the Performance part of who we are at BSC. All of those items need to be perfected to give you the best chance to improve.
