Here are a Few Things You did Well:

  1. Getting Feedback from Coaches—Everyone did an awesome job of coming to the Coaches before and after each race. It is so important to get race instructions before the race then come back and be able to evaluate how you did based on your time and how you swam the race from a tactical and technical standpoint.

  2. Technical Improvement---It was great to see there were much fewer Dqs this meet as compared to the Mustang Classic. That shows that both swimmers and coaches are doing an awesome job of making technique adjustments. It is so important for everyone to be constantly paying attention to their technique and making sure they are doing things properly. Fewer Dqs is one way we can really notice the improvement!

Here are a Few Things We still need to Work On:

  1. Paying Attention to the Meet---There were too many times when teammates were unsure of what was going on at the meet, i.e. what event and heat was in the water. Knowing where the meet is heat and event wise will help you know when to get ready to race, and when to talk to coaches.

  2. Accelerate into the Turns---Make sure that you are swimming hard and fast into every turn. Come off the wall with a tight streamline with the best underwater work you can. The way this gets better is to focus on it in practice every lap. Try to make sure you are swimming hard into the wall every lap at practice.

Our next meet is in January at BHS—The Winter Classic. Keep working hard and stay focused on training your goals. Lets see some AWESOME IMPROVEMENT! GO BSC
