Second Day at Senior Champs BSC Shines!
The second day at the ISI Senior Championships at UIC saw BSC swimmers continue their Record Setting Meet. Kirsten Jacobsen led the way with a New Team and State Record in the 500Free at 4:42.31 and a State Championship! In the 200IM Colin Cross swam to a Best Time, but really showed progress in the 200Breast swimming a 2:09.40 and a New NCSA and BSC Team Record good for 7th Place. In the 50 Free Val Tarazi placed 12th with a Personal Best. Kirsten Jacobsen added a Best Time in 18th. In the same event Mekenna Scheitlin won the C final in 23.94. On the men's side of the 50Free Will Hobbs swam to a 21.63 good for 12th Place, a New NCSA Junior Cut, and a New Team Record. Will also swam a Best Time in the 200Breast. In the 100Back Maggie Emary swam to a Best Time. on the Men's Side Colin O'Leary swam to a Team Record and NCSA Qualifying Time good for 10th Place. Colin also swam a Best Time in the 500Free good for 13th Place. Riley Lehmann swam to an 10 second Best Time in the 500Free with a Time of 4:56.30 Emma Barnett stepped onto the Podium in the 500 Free with an 8th Place Finish. Andrea Vega swam to a Club Best Time in the 200IM. The 400Medley Relay of Colin O'Leary, Colin Cross, Andrew Fish, and Sebastian Piekarski swam to 11th Place, as well as an NCSA Junior Qualifying Time and New Team Record. The Men's B 400Medley Relay of Andy Zhou, Max Gersten, Will Hobbs, and Riley Lehmann all split best times in their relay!
BSC Currently is tied for 12th Place Overall with one day of competition remaining!
