 Senior Champs Ends with a Flourish for BSC

The final day of Senior Champs saw BSC swimmers race to a 10th Place Finish in the Combined Standings---The Highest Place in over 5 Years!  The women continued their strong performance at the State Level with a 10th Place Finish, and the Men showing the resurgence of the program with a respectable 13th Place.

Kirsten Jacobsen finished her meet with another State Title, Team Record and Pool Record in the 100Free breaking the 50 second barrier. 8minutes later she swam a lifetime best 200Fly. Her weekend included UIC Pool Records in the 100, 200 and 500Free as well as a New State Record in the 500Free.

Colin O'leary finished his first Senior Championship meet with a Top 16 Finish in the 200Back and a 3rd Place finish in the 200Fly.  Emma Toth added a Best Time in the 1650 Free. Catie Olson also swam her Rookie Senior Champs with a Best TIme in the 200Fly. Riley Lehmann capped off a solid meet with a Top 16Finish in the 1650. Max Gersten also came in with a Best Time in the 1650.

Emma Barnett swam a nice Best Time and Team Record in the 200Back. Kelsey Holmes also added a Best Time in the 200Back. 13-14 Girls Maggie Emary and Val Tarazi stepped up and swam to Best Time 100Freestyles. Sebastian Piekarski swam a solid 100Free good for 23rd place.  The 400Free Relay of Val Tarazi, Mekenna Scheitlin, Emma Barnett, and Kirsten Jacobsen swam to a Team Record good for 7th Place.
