BSC Ends Age Group Champs on a High Note
The Final Day of Age Group Championships at UIC was a very exciting day of both individual and team competition. BSC was in 3rd place in the overall standings right up until the last event! Being outpaced by FOX in the 13-14Boys 400Free Relay BSC Ended Up 4th Place--a one place improvement from last summer!
In the 10 and Under Session Jenny Tokarz set another Team Record in the 200Free placing second. Addisyn Donfris swam a Best Time in the 200Free and placed 14th in the 50Back. Lily Reader swam a Best Time in the 100IM. Julia Koltuniuk continued to have a great meet improving her 50Back. The 200Free Relay of Jenny Tokarz, Lily Reader, Addisyn Donfris, and Julia Koltuniuk placed Second and set a New Team Record!
On the Boys Side Dan Langlois finished his great meet by placing 2nd in the 200Free and 5th in the 100IM. Griffin O'Leary continued his success at the meet by Placing 8th in the 200Free and 5th in the 50Back. The 200Free Relay of Griffin O'Leary, Dan Langois, Eric Pan, and Osman Cheng placed 17th less than 1 second off the Team Record.
The 11-12 Girls saw Bridget O'Leary Place 10th in the 50Back and Set a New Team Record while finishing in the Top 8 in the 50Free. Ari Schafer swam the 200IM in a Best Time. The 400Free Relay of Bridget O'Leary, Maddie McFarland, Ayden Donfris, and Tea Ragnini Placed 11th
Jack Hoppe ended his stellar meet with Best Times in the 200IM and 50Free. Alex Le wraped up his meet with a 9th place in the 50 Breast
The 13-14 Girls group swam very well on the last day Val Tarazi Set a New Team Record in the 100Breast Placing 2nd and swam to a 3rd place in the 50Free. Maggie Emary broke the 5minute barrier in the 500Free placing 3rd and added a Team Record 200Back Placing 9th. Ally Penrod added Team Point with a 15th Place Finish. Izzie Parenti shaved 5 seconds off her 500Free good for 14th Place. The 400Free Relay of Val Tarazi, Emma Graves, Ally Penrod and Maggie Emary swam to 5th Place and a New Team Record.
The 13-14 Boys closed out their meet with Mitch Gavars setting a New Team Record in the 500Free and 200Back. Collecting his Second Championship in the 500Free. John Lagoni dropped 7seconds good for 18th place.
In total at the Meet BSC Set 29New Team Records! AWESOME MEET BSC!
