Team Records Fall at Day 2 of Central Zone Sectionals
BSC Continued to have a Great Meet at the Central Zone Sectional Meet hosted by the University of Iowa. The day saw 2 New Team Records!
Kirsten Jacobsen dominated the B Final in the 200Free winning with a US National Qualifying time of 2:02.45. Val Tarazi continued to have a great meet with a Best Time in the 200Free. Riley Lehmann also added a Best Time in the 200Free in a Time Trial. Colin O'Leary added a Best Time in the 100Back just missing Finals. In the last event of the day the 4x100 Free Relay both the Men's and Women's Teams Set New Team Record! The Men's Team of Will Hobbs, Andrew Fish, Mitch Gavars and Colin O'Leary went 3:46.03 eclipsing the record by a second. The Women's Team of Mekenna Scheitlin, Val Tarazi, Bridget O'Leary, and Kirsten Jacobsen clocked a 3:56.80 breaking the record by over 5 seconds, just three tenths of a second shy of the USA Swimming Junior National Qualifying Time! As a Team BSC is in 15th Place Overall and 10th on the Women's side.
