5 New Team Records on Saturday of Central Zone Sectionals

Saturday at the Central Zone Sectional Championship hosted by the University of Iowa saw BSC Teammates have the best day of competition yet! 5 New Team Records, 3 USA Swimming All Time Top 100Times, 1 Sectional Meet and Pool Record, and 1 New USA Swimming Junior National Qualifying Time. BSC Currently sits in 12th Place Overall a mere 6Points out of 11th. The Women are in 8th place!

Kirsten Jacobsen again led the way winning the 400Meter Free in 4:15.53 in a thrilling race setting a New Pool, New Meet Record, and New Team Record. That time was also a USA Swimming All TIme Top 100Time for 15-16 Girls!

Val Tarazi placed 11th Overall her time of 1:12.49 was a New Team Record,  USA Swimming Junior National TIme, and a USA Swimming All Time Top 100Time for 13-14 GIrls!

Bridget O'Leary in her Sectional debut swam a Best TIme 4:32.74. That time was a New Team Record and USA Swimming All Time Top 100Time for 11-12 Girls.

Colin O'Leary made another Finals Apperance in the 200Back with a Best Time and New Team Record! He also broke the one minute barrier in the 100Fly at 59.99.

Mitch Gavars continued his excellent meet with a Best Time in the 200Back and a Finals Apperance in the 400Free with a Best Time by almost 18seconds!

Colin Cross shaved a second off his 100Breast at 1:09.1 in an exciting race.

The 800Free Relay of Maggie Emary, Val Tarazi, Bridget O'Leary and Kirsten Jacobsen swam to a New Team Record good for 9th Place.

On the Men's side Colin O'Leary, Riley Lehmann, Mitch Gavars, and Will Hobbs smashed the Team Record by 8seconds good for 19th Place!
